Danbury is home to the University of Western Connecticut, which employs over 700 people and boasts the Ives Concert park, located on the Westside campus. Danbury Hospital is one of the city's largest employer, with over 3,300 employees and is also home to the new Praxair Regional Heart and Vascular Center, providing state of the art cardiovascular care to this growing region.
